• Contact form: your name, email address, phone number (optional), the topic of your enquiry, a book title if you are ordering, and your message.
• Get Published form: your name, email, phone number, city, details about your book (title, genre, stage, length, synopsis), the services you are interested in and, if you choose to upload it, your manuscript or a sample.
• Technical information: limited data our web host records to keep the site secure and working, such as IP address and browser type.
• Cookie preference: your choice on our cookie banner, stored in your own browser.

3. Why we use it

• To respond to your enquiry or book order.
• To assess your manuscript and discuss publishing services with you.
• To keep our website secure and working.
• To meet our legal obligations.

We only process personal information for these purposes, with your consent (which you give when you submit a form) or where we have another lawful basis under POPIA.

4. Your manuscript

Manuscripts and book details you send us are treated as confidential. We use them only to assess your work and respond to you, and we do not publish, share or sell them without your written permission.

5. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We only share it with service providers who help us run our website and email (such as our web host), who must keep it secure, or when the law requires us to.

6. How long we keep it

We keep enquiries and submissions only for as long as we need them for the purposes above, or as required by law. If we do not go ahead with publishing your book, you may ask us to delete your manuscript at any time.

7. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including a secure (https) connection for our website.

8. Your rights

Under POPIA you may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to its processing, and withdraw your consent. Email info@clubreadership.co.za. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za.
